Day in the Life of a Youth Program Supervisor

The responsibilities of a Youth Program Supervisor are to lead their groups by supervising the activities on the schedule for the day and ensuring the children are in a fun and interactive environment. 

To succeed as a Youth Program Supervisor, you must be willing to have fun and socialize with the children. Although having fun is a large part of this job, you must be willing to take leadership should any problem occur under your supervision. Youth Program Supervisors meet on a weekly basis to discuss ideas and to provide suggestions on ways to improve summer camp for the children and staff.  

At the end of the day, Youth Program Supervisors ensure that the rooms are ready for the next day by completing all closing duties.
